Stage 1: 18.3km Time Trial
10.00am 2 May 2009
Start at
Whyalla Cycling Club, McBryde Terrace and turn left onto
the Port Augusta Highway.
Turn left at the OneSteel gate and ride the mad mile
back towards McBryde Terrace and turn left. Return to
the Whyalla Cycling Club to complete a lap. Do 3 laps.
Port Augusta Hwy (Downhill)
Mad Mile (slight uphill)
McBryde Tce (flat to undulating)
Stage 1 decides A,B,C,D grades for
seniors. Juniors are put into grades according to age.
Grades for seniors can be changed at Commissaires
discretion. Competitors that provide false information
regarding previous results as required on the nomination
form will be instantly disqualified |

Stage 2: Parfitt Street Criterium
2.00pm 2 May 2009
Start and Finish at Parfitt
Street. Lightning fast crit course. Pancake flat and
smooth as hotmix.
All grades 45 minutes + 2 laps
Stage 2 has time
bonuses for each grade. 1st place (20 seconds), 2nd (12
seconds), 3rd (8 seconds). Stage 2 has grades run as 4
separate races. Time for GC purposes is real time. If
a lap is dropped by a competitor a time penalty of 2
minutes is added. |

Stage 3: Whyalla to Iron Baron
Turnoff and Hummock Hill Finish
10.00am 3 May 2009
A generally flat road race with a rise to
Iron Baron Turnoff. At the turnaround enjoy the
downhill to flat conditions until you re-enter Whyalla
and a 400m long hill at the finish.
Stage 3
has time bonuses for 1st place (20 seconds), 2nd (12
seconds), 3rd (8 seconds) only. Stage 3 is a handicapped
event (i.e. D grade first off, then C, then B, then A).

General Rules
Overall winner is person with
fastest time after 3 Stages Completed.
General Classification (GC) is calculated as (Stage 1 time +
Stage 2 time - time bonus + Stage 3 (handicap) time - time
bonus)
Commissaires Ruling is Final.
Protests can be lodged by riders.
Normal race rules apply. All riders to wear helmets.
Riders to practice Safe Racing.
